Trying to stay fit is a constant struggle, especially for gamers. Using the same premise as games like Mirror's Edge and Assassin's Creed, several of my friends came together to work on Project Beacon. The initial concept was to develop a way to get lazy gamers to get out into the world.
How to make a gamer run? Have them chase something. A simple point system per calorie burned and distance traveled allows users to gain experience. Something that the health industry as been doing for years. But why is Beacon different?
Because with Beacon you run for good.
